This policy describes how Bangor Window Replacement uses the project and contact details you choose to share with our homeowner matching service.

Our forms prepare an email draft for you to send. Independent contractors receive project information when you authorize an introduction, and you can ask us about your privacy choices.

This microsite has no advertising pixels or analytics connections. The full policy explains service providers, retention and how to contact us about your information.

Effective November 4, 2026. Last updated November 4, 2026.

Bangor Window Replacement wrote this policy to account for every personal detail that reaches us from this website, a phone call or an email. Below are the details we take in, our reasons for keeping them, the outside services that touch them and the choices you keep over them.

Who We Are

We are a free homeowner matching service for window and entry door replacement, working out of an appointment-only office in Bangor, Maine. Independent contractors do the measuring, the pricing and the installing; our part is helping you describe the project.

Our work area is Bangor plus 21 nearby towns in Penobscot County and nearby parts of Hancock and Waldo counties, and bangorwindowreplacement.com is our website.

How Our Forms Work Right Now

At present, neither the estimate quiz nor the contact form passes anything to us by itself. Your last click on either one writes your answers into a draft email to [email protected] and opens that draft in your own email app, and we receive nothing until you press Send.

A device without an email app shows a box of your answers for you to copy into any email instead. Quit a form partway and no draft is made, and your browser keeps none of your answers afterward.

What an Estimate Request Holds

The draft email carries what you typed and chose:

  • Contact details: your name, your phone and your email.
  • The job: your town, the quiz card you picked (every window, a few windows or a door), notes if you wrote any and, from the contact form, the kind of project, a rough budget and your message.
  • The request: a line recording your tick in the consent box, the page you started from and when the draft was made.

Whatever we learn on the phone or in email, a rough window count or a fogged pane among them, goes into that same record. Once an independent installer signs a contract with you, their file sits with the contractor, not with us.

Apart from the forms, our web host writes a routine line for every page visit. That line notes the visitor's IP address and browser along with the address of the page.

How We Use Your Information

Your details serve three jobs here, and nothing else:

  • replying to your request and helping you describe the window or door work
  • introducing you to independent contractors who can measure and price the job
  • reaching you about the request by call, text or email, within what your consent covers

Your information is never sold to anyone, and no one pays us for it. You hear from us only about the windows or doors you asked about.

Who Else Handles It

Three kinds of outside service touch your details when you get in touch or browse:

  • Email: your own provider carries the email you send, Cloudflare passes mail for our info@ address along to the inbox our team reads, and our mail provider keeps it.
  • Customer records and phones: our customer-management system, which also runs our calls and texts, may hold your request, and notes from a call are filed with it.
  • Hosting: Cloudflare serves every page of this site and keeps the page-request log mentioned above.

When we introduce you to an independent contractor, we share what you gave us so that contractor can set up a visit. Map tiles on our town pages come from OpenStreetMap, and loading them hands that service your IP address.

Directions on our contact page open in Google Maps, where Google's privacy policy applies instead of ours.

We release information when the law compels it, under a subpoena for instance. We may also release it to keep a person safe or to defend our legal rights.

Every form here that drafts a request has a single consent box, empty to begin with, and no draft is made until you tick it. The quiz puts a brief linked line next to its box that opens the full authorization, while the contact form prints the full authorization beside its box.

Your tick authorizes Bangor Window Replacement, together with its team members and assistants, to get in touch by email, SMS text or a phone call to confirm your request and what it says, even with your number on a Do-Not-Call registry. It also covers follow-up on that request, calls and texts placed with automated technology among them, and buying from us never depends on it.

Where you browse sections of our site about builders, contractors, real estate agents or home service providers, the authorization reaches them as well. A tick also records that you agree to this policy and to our terms.

If you would sooner skip the online consent, phone the number in the footer of any page, and we will take the request over the phone.

Text Messages and Phone Calls

Every text from us concerns your request for an estimate or the window and door work that follows, a visit time, say, or an introduction to an installer. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

  • Text STOP at any point to shut our texts off, and one confirming message follows.
  • For help, text HELP or email [email protected].
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party.

Phone calls stop the same way. Tell us during a call or in an email, and we strike your number from the list we call.

If an AI Receptionist Answers

Our line may one day be answered first by an AI receptionist. If it is, the receptionist will say it is an AI within the first moments of the call, then write down your name, a callback number and a short description of your windows or doors, and attach that summary to your record.

No Analytics, Pixels or Tracking Cookies

No analytics program, ad pixel or tracking cookie runs anywhere on this website. The site stores nothing in your browser, and turning cookies off leaves both forms working.

OpenStreetMap, the map service above, may place cookies under its own rules. Your browser's settings control cookies, and you can turn them off there.

How Long We Keep Records

We hold on to a request while we answer it and while a contractor is following up on the windows or doors it names. Our records can stay longer when a tax rule or another legal duty calls for it.

How We Protect Your Information

Only the outside services listed on this page, the people on our staff and the independent contractor we introduce you to can open your details. We cannot promise that any website or inbox is safe from every attack, and we never say otherwise.

A breach that exposes your personal information gets reported to you as Maine's breach notice law directs.

Your Choices About Your Information

Three requests are yours to make:

  • see what personal information of yours is in our records
  • have anything wrong or stale corrected
  • erasure of your information, minus the records a statute makes us keep

Email [email protected] or use the phone number on our contact page to ask. Before we act, we may check that the request really is yours.

To see or change what an installer holds after you sign with them, write to that contractor directly.

Children's Privacy

Our pages speak to adults planning window and door work, and none of them targets children. Personal details we find came from someone under 18 are deleted.

Our pages cite outside sources, among them the City of Bangor code office, the Maine statute on home construction contracts, EPA's lead rule and the Building America Solution Center. Their own privacy policies govern those sites, and this policy stops at ours.

Updates to This Policy

A change in how we handle information, or in the law, sends us back to revise this page. The version in force carries the date printed at the top.
