Accessibility Statement
Bangor Window Replacement builds this website so a visitor using a screen reader, a magnifier or keyboard-only navigation can read about window and entry door projects and reach us the same way anyone else does. Level AA of WCAG 2.1 is the target we work toward, and every page we change gets another pass.
When the quiz, a map or any other part of the site blocks you, write to [email protected] or call the number in the footer so we can clear it. The phone covers everything the forms cover, including arranging the measuring visit with an independent installer.

Anyone thinking about new windows or a new entry door should be able to use this website without fighting it. The sections below name the guideline we build to, what already works, the gaps we are aware of and the way to tell us about a barrier.
How We Handle Accessibility
We think about accessibility when a page is first drafted and again each time the page is edited. A barrier we spot, or one a visitor reports, stays on our open list until the fix is on the live site.
The Standard We Work Toward
The guideline we build toward is Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, published by the W3C. We do not claim full conformance, because no review catches every issue, but those guidelines shape the layout, the color choices and the code on every page.
What the Site Does Today
- Headings follow a logical order, and the text of each link describes where the link goes.
- Photos that carry meaning have written descriptions, every field on the contact form has a visible label, and the quiz's photo cards behave as ordinary checkboxes.
- Body text meets Level AA color contrast, the consent window can be driven by keyboard alone, and page motion stops when the device asks for reduced motion.
Gaps We Know About
Our town maps are awkward with a screen reader or keyboard alone. Skipping them costs you nothing, because the same page lists every town as a plain text link next to the map.
The contact page offers a directions link that opens Google Maps, which brings its own accessibility strengths and limits. The contact page also prints our office address and phone number in plain text, and this statement prints our email.
For now, every form on the site finishes by opening a prepared email in your own email app, so that final step works only as well as your app does. When no email app opens, the form shows your answers in a text box you can copy into any email you prefer.
How to Report a Problem
Tell us which page gave you trouble and what you were trying to do. Email [email protected] or call the number in the footer, and we will track the problem and start on a repair.
Other Ways to Reach Us
A phone call does the same work as any form on this site, so please use the phone if the form will not work for you. Tell us your town and which openings are on your mind, and we can arrange the measuring visit with an independent installer in that same call.
When We Review This Statement
We read this statement again after any meaningful change to the website. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
